Low Carb Foods
For Your Information
I am a registered nurse and I am also a diabetic. As a diabetic, I need to eat more low carb foods than high carb foods. Below are some of the foods that are lowest in carbohydrates. I am not a doctor nor am I a dietician, and I do recommend that you consult your primary care physician prior to changing your diet; I am simply listing some foods that are low in carbs for your information.
Many people also choose to follow the Keto Diet for weight loss. Here is a link to a free website that offers information on the Keto Diet – HeadBangersKitchen. Once again, just a reminder that I am not a doctor or a dietician, and I strongly recommend that you consult your doctor before you start ANY sort of diet or exercise program. Everyone’s body is different, and you and your doctor should decide what is best for you!
Low Carbohydrate Foods:
- Brussels Sprouts
- Bell Pepper
- Green Beans
These are only a few of the delicious low carb foods available. Do your research and speak with your doctor or dietician to determine exactly which diabetic diet will work best for you! Also keep in mind, exercise is also helpful for diabetics. Again, though, consult your doctor about what type, amount and duration of your workout is appropriate for you!
